How can I support asylum seekers?

The Brigidine Asylum Seekers Project is supported by many individuals and organisations.

These include:

  • Generous people who give donations of money
  • People who regularly bring goods to be distributed to asylum seekers
  • People who give time, for example,
    • visiting the Detention Centre
    • helping with the gardens or maintenance of the houses accommodating asylum seekers
    • forming friendships with asylum seekers
  • Bill Haye's 'political football'The organisers of the Bid for Freedom auction, including the generous artists who contributed art and all those who assisted with the Bid for Freedom events
  • The many schools (Brigidine schools and others) that have had fund-raising events and collected food and other necessities such as household cleaning goods
  • Organisations who give us donations - sometimes after one of our members speaks at a function
  • Individuals or small groups who have organised fundraising events such as film nights and concerts
  • The Brigidine Sisters and the Catholic Parish of Albion who have allowed the use of houses for asylum seekers with nowhere to live

Without these supporters, the work of the Brigidine Asylum Seekers Project could not continue.

Thank you to all our supporters.
