What We Do
The Project specifically
  • Accommodates and supports a number of asylum seekers, some of whom have been detained in Immigration Detention Centres
  • Partially supports many people on bridging visas and temporary protection visas in the community
  • Visits asylum seekers at Maribrynong Detention Centre
  • Supports individual refugees and families who are being settled in the community
  • Assists a number of asylum seekers who have decided to leave Australia because they lost hope of being given refugee status
  • Supports efforts to assist asylum seekers in offshore detention centres such as Nauru
  • Assists with the re-uniting of families in situations where asylum seeker status has been established
  • Networks with other groups who are supporting asylum seekers
  • Organises information nights to raise the awareness of the situation of asylum seekers
  • Lobbies the government in favour of a number of people who face significant difficulty
