The Project specifically
- Accommodates and supports a number of asylum seekers, some of whom have been detained in Immigration Detention Centres
- Partially supports many people on bridging visas and temporary protection visas in the community
- Visits asylum seekers at Maribrynong Detention Centre
- Supports individual refugees and families who are being settled in the community
- Assists a number of asylum seekers who have decided to leave Australia because they lost hope of being given refugee status
- Supports efforts to assist asylum seekers in offshore detention centres such as Nauru
- Assists with the re-uniting of families in situations where asylum seeker status has been established
- Networks with other groups who are supporting asylum seekers
- Organises information nights to raise the awareness of the situation of asylum seekers
- Lobbies the government in favour of a number of people who face significant difficulty
